The Building Team

The twenty-six students building the R.D. Lawrence Place are enrolled in an intensive five-month Sustainable Building Design and Construction program at Fleming College. This is the only certificate-granting college course of its kind in Canada which teaches students about sustainable building both practically and theoretically. Students learn about building using methods and materials that leave the smallest possible ecological footprint while instilling collective social values essential for wise environmental stewardship.
